Overview
On September 1, 2009, Sulzer Metaplas (US) Inc. was purchased by lmpreglon, lnc. The combination of Sulzer's "PVD Thin Film Technology" and lmpreglon's existing thermal spray and polymer coatings provided an excellent opportunity for growth and the development of new, innovative products. With this in mind, a significant capital investment was made in order to immediately upgrade and expand the capabilities of our existing coating equipment. This will allow us to offer a new class of coatings that are more durable and offer significant improvements in performance properties. We expect the project to be completed by the end of the year.
Impreglon (RI) Inc. is a provider of PVD coatings
for decorative and functional applications. Our services
range from Magnetron Sputtering to Cathodic Arc Deposition
of metallic finishes on customer parts. We are ISO
9001 certified.
Though we can process jobs of 5 to 500,000 pieces,
Impreglon (RI) specializes in those requiring the
highest degree of performance and aesthetics. Unlike
many contract coaters, whose equipment makes it inefficient
to switch targets or processes, Impreglon (RI) has
machinery that is uniquely suited to turning jobs
quickly. Our two ultrasonic cleaning lines allow for
greater pre-coating flexibility and complement our
five PVD production lines. We have an extensive inventory
of targets. What truly differentiates Impreglon
from other coating centers, however, is our proven
expertise applying these target materials to customer
parts.
For more than ten years Impreglon (RI) and its predecessor
business have serviced the coating requirements of
demanding customers in the automotive, medical, hardware,
cutlery and aerospace industries, among others. Impreglon (RI) is a qualified supplier of simulated gold
finishes for General Motors Corporation and Ford Motor
Company; having assisted in the establishment of the
durability specification, GM6430M.
In addition to providing coating services, we are
pleased to be able to provide the full product range
of METAPLAS IONON equipment, and support that equipment
with spare parts, operator training and field service.
Working with our customers to specify the film most
suited to a particular environment or application
is a key part of our success. We would be pleased
if you would browse our web site for an overview of
our processes and expertise.
